St. Francisville Church Window
Louis Riddle sent this photo of a window in a Church in St. Francisville. The window was in memory of Dr. Napoleon Bonaparte Riddle, Jr. DR. NB was a half brother to William Jasper Riddle. Dr. NB was born through Mary A. Brannon in 1892, the second wife of NB. Our grandmother, Jane Mitchell, passed away in 1887.

South Carolina Archives
Here are three documents that I copied from microfilm in the historical records of South Carolina. As you will note, William Powell Riddle (Riddel) was the first in our line to fully change to Riddle. You will notice Mahaleel is the third child (our progenitor). I have seen the spelling of his name in several variations.
In Genesis 5, Mahalaleel was the 5th great grandson of Adam. I assume that this the origin of his name, but yet another variation as to what I have seen.
